Quidditch Gryffindor KEEPER

Year: 6th

Position: Keeper

Broom: Nimbus 2025 

Playing style: Quidditch is one of his strongest passions. Instead of his usual, keep to himself personality on the field he’s loud, enthusiastic and he’s got the thrill of the game in him. He’s a balanced player, is usually on the defence which made him decide on becoming a Keeper. Analytical and observant he can watch his whole team (And the other team)  from the hoops to think of better practices and drills for Gryffindor. (Apparently what he lacks in classes-- he makes up for in his knowledge of Quidditch.)

How long have you played on the team?

Ever since I could! Since 2nd year I got into the team, but before that I always watched or heard about my Brother playing (He was Hufflepuff Chaser).

Why do you play this position?

I play Keeper because it lets me keep an eye on my entire team while still being part of the game. I’ve also got a mean back hand-- Not that I’d hit people with it!! I only hit balls with it-- I mean-! Er… I just feel that as a Keeper I'd have responsibilities to my team and they'd rely on me to protect the hoops, and I like that feeling.

Do you think you are a valuable team player?

I think all members of the team are valuable! Each of us have our own talents, though if I was Team Captain I suppose I’d be rather… responsible for a lot of things besides Hoop duty.

What do you bring to the team?

Strategy and experience! I’ve read every book I’ve been able to get my hands on about it. Though I gotta say trying out some of those maneuvers in the books was… Painful. *Shudders* I'm also fast! Not fast enough to be a Chaser or Seeker but... I guess I have fast reflexes?? And bog hands? *Looks down at his hand and wiggles his fingers*

How do you plan on celebrating a win? 

Hot chocolate for everyone! Or… whatever hot drinks there are… I usually celebrate with the team and the house with celebratory things, like parties! And music! (But not too loud...)

What will you do if you lose?

Well hopefully someone recorded the match for me to look over…. I try and keep the teams spirits up and when they’re all okay I think of new drills and things we could try. Though sometimes if it’s a brutal lose I go for a nice long fly around the Quidditch Field-- really fast...

How often do you practice, and do you prefer to practice with a  friend or solo?

I try and practice a few times a week, I go flying quite often though since it’s rather relaxing. I do have trouble finding someone to throw balls at me-- And I’ve tried dodging Bludgers. That was not fun. So usually if I am doing so I like a buddy to spot me. Or to drag me to the Medical Wing.

Do you plan on continuing quidditch after you leave Hogwarts?

Well I wanted to be a teacher when I was older. THOUGH If that doesn't work out I will most definitely go back to Quidditch!
